Al delivered a teamwork workshop to our team that was engaging and highly interactive. The day was full of behavioral actions we could to use immediately to grow our work relationships. We regularly use the DISC profiles to navigate team personality struggles. Many differences are brought sharply into an ‘ah, that’s why’ focus when you know where each person is coming from.
Our organization has hired Al Ruttan to present the Leadership Game and the DISC workshop for our entire team of front-line workers, management, associates and owners. In fact, all new hires are enrolled in the DISC workshop to maintain consistency and culture while improving our overall communication. Al is an easy-going, down to earth presenter that captures the attention of all by making a connection with each individual at their level. Al has a fun, light way of getting the team to participate. Through this participation we have found that our team members learn and grow not only as individuals but collectively as a team. Al’s ability to adapt to various situations on the fly ensures each individual will benefit, thereby creating an environment that motivates your team to move forward. I recently took the DISC class taught by Chris Baker. I’ll admit I was hesitant to give up 3 hours of my day but I’m glad I did. All the participants agreed the class was beneficial and we were stunned by the accuracy of the assessments. I heard Chris was teaching this as an extension of your team, so I wanted to provide some feedback on his presentation. It seems like he’s a natural instructor; clear, well-spoken, and engaging. His familiarity with the material was impressive. Finally, his sense of humor helped keep things lively.
I have already recommended this course to my team members. Great job making it interesting, the time seemed to fly by.
I loved the energy the instructors brought to the class when they were presenting the material. The personal stories they shared were also helpful in identifying the various styles.
What did you learn today that you can immediately apply in your work area? I think in a work setting, I can apply a different way of talking to people in my office and on the floor. I want to be able to recognize their own personalities so that as a D I can better communicate with them to get specific jobs done.
